Marathon Participation
Participation in Varna Marathon 2027 across all distances is open to participants from Bulgaria and abroad. For the 42 km distance, only participants who have reached 18 years of age on the day of the race (born in 2008 or earlier) are eligible to compete.
Once you have completed your online registration, you have 20 days to pay the participation fee as follows:
Online via debit or credit card for all registrations completed by 23:59 on April 30, 2027;
In cash (only for on-site registration) at the Info Center for picking up start packages, which will operate according to the following schedule and locations:

* Marathon Varna is organized by the "Sport in Free Time" Association (Association "Sport v svobodnoto vreme" - Be Active);
If the entry fee is paid via debit or credit card and the participant fails to appear to collect their bib number, the fee is non-refundable.
Upon registration and payment with a debit or credit card, your personal data will not be provided to or used by third parties.
Each participant in Marathon Varna declares that they are participating voluntarily, are not acting against medical advice, are in good physical health, are unaware of any medical obstacles to their participation in Marathon Varna 2027, and agree to withdraw from participation if requested by the Organizer.
Each participant releases the Organizers from any liability in the event of injury, trauma, or death during the Event, and declares that they bear sole responsibility for their actions during the course of the event.
Participants and the public may be photographed at the event and in the online gallery; where enabled, you may search photos by bib number or voluntarily by selfie as described in the Privacy Policy.
Each participant declares that they will not take any legal or factual action to claim compensation from the organizers and sponsors of the Event for damages suffered during the Event, as well as in the event of health problems arising after participating in Marathon Varna.
Each participant agrees and authorizes the Organizer to freely and unconditionally use, reproduce, and display their name, photos, or likeness in any way and anywhere in printed, audio, and video materials for the promotion of the Marathon Varna initiative, for which no payment is due from the Organizer.
Each participant will receive (upon presenting an ID) their start package, which includes a bib number, timing chip, and the official Marathon Varna T-shirt. It may also contain samples and promotional materials provided by sponsors.
Each participant agrees to comply with the "Law of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Bulgaria and Regulation No. 8 of 18.03.2005 on conducting mandatory initial, periodic, and pre-competition medical examinations of persons practicing physical education and sport (issued by the Minister of Health, published in the State Gazette, issue 28 of 1.04.2005, in force from 1.04.2005)".

The Organizing Committee reserves the right to modify any of the above-mentioned regulations at any moment if necessary. In the event of any changes regarding services, venues, and schedules, the information will be published on the official Marathon Varna 2027 website.а 2027г.
